Co to launch 1st stage of 765 mln rbl Omsk oilseed plant in Nov

OMSK, Aug 13 (Prime-Tass) -- Russian company Prodeks-Omsk plans to launch in November the first stage of a 765 million ruble oilseed processing plant in the Tavrichesky district of the Omsk Region, the regional government's press office said Wednesday.

The plant will process sunflower and rape, and produce vegetable oils and biodiesel fuel from these oils. At the first stage, the plant will produce unrefined vegetable oil and will have an annual production capacity of over 53,000 tonnes. The plant is expected to process over 126,000 tonnes of raw materials once it reaches full capacity in 2009.

Construction of the plant is scheduled to be completed in 2010. The plant will employ over 500 people.
