PRAGUE. OCTOBER 12. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE Czech company Primagra has launched a CZK 100 mln biodiesel plant in Milin, Central Bohemia, the company stated. «The plant's annual capacity of the methyl ester of rape-seed oil is 35,000 tonnes,» the company said in a statement. As of September, it became compulsory to add Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) from rape-seed oil to diesel fuel sold at filling stations in the Czech Republic distributors must provide for now a 2% bio-component to retail fuels. The European Commission early this year approved a binding minimum target for the share of biofuels in gasoline and diesel of 5.75% in 2010 and 10% by 2020. Primagra, a unit of Agropol Group trading company, invested CZK 100 mln in the new plant. Primagra specializes in production of animal feed, cereals, and oil plants. It has annual revenues of around CZK 1.5 bln. Including Primagra, there are 16 plants in the Czech Republic producing biodiesel. PRAGUE. OCTOBER 12.
