Tomsk company constructs plant in Omsk region
Tomsk group of companies Prod-Rx has started construction of plant on rapeseed oil production in Tavricheskiy area of Omsk region. The project's investment volume has already accounted for RUR 150 million. The plant's first turn is planned to process 120 thousand tones a year. In future Tomsk company intends to launch a biodiesel production on the plant. The Omsk first rape plant has been launched in June 2007 in Kalachinskiy area. The investor — local company Oils of Siberia — has invested in its construction about $ 1 million and plans to process up to 25 thousand tones of rape annually with 1 thousand tones of oil production. Market participants predict, that process workers could face problems with purchase of rape that is in great demand.
