Belarus, Azerbaijan to sign science and technology agreement

The agreement has been already drafted. The document will be signed during a visit of a Belarusian delegation to Baku in early June.

Several bilateral documents were signed during the National Exhibition of Belarus which was recently held in Azerbaijan. These include the protocol of intent between Belarusian State University and Silvesberg engineering consulting service. The sides expressed their interest in cooperation in biofuel production, microwave technologies in agriculture and production of sorbents for gathering accidental oil spills. Belarusian State University and Baku State University of Azerbaijan signed memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum envisages partnership in scientific and education areas, including exchange of students, teaching stuff and scientists.

The scientists of the two countries plan to develop long-term cooperation in laser physics, power engineering, nano-materials, computer simulation of the elements of a new-generation computer technology and other areas.
