Krasnodar signs 33 agt’s worth over EURO 1,300 mln in St Petersburg.

ITAR-TASS World Service The Krasnodar Territory signed 33 agreements worth over 1.3 billion euros during the 11th International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg. “This is twice as much as the region expected,” First Deputy Governor Alexander Remezkov told a news conference devoted to the results the forum. In his words, investors showed the biggest interest in proposals in the fuel and energy sector, transport and resort business in the Krasnodar Territory. Governor Alexander Tkachev concluded an investment agreement with Titan Group of Companies, which will build a bioethanol production plant, combine fodder mill, integrated poultry farm, livestock and processing unit, Remezkov stressed. The total cost of the “Bioethanol” project is estimated at 200 million euros, he added. M-Industriya Company plans to invest 285 million euros in the “Ostrov ‘Federatsia’” (The Federation Island) project, Remezkov said. Another company, Gelendzhik-City, will invest 200 million euros in the reconstruction of the resort city of Gelendzhik, he said. The first-ever grain transshipment terminal will be built in the Tuapse district. Russkiye Kruizy (Russian Cruises) Company will organize passenger transportation by high-speed vessels between resorts on the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, Remezkov said. Chistye Tekhnologii (Clean Technologies) Company will do its utmost to make transport infrastructure more environment friendly, he said. The first international water sports center will be built in the resort city of Anapa. The project will cost 52 million euros and will be implemented jointly with the Olympic Committee of Russia, the first vice-governor said.
