Lipetsk Region to Launch Biofuel Production

LIPETSK. In late March, a plant processing rapeseed into biodiesel fuel will be commissioned in the Lipetsk Region (Central European Russia). The region also intends to build a plant for processing maize into bioethanol, the region's deputy governor Nikolai Tagintsev said.

Specialists say that the new line of business will not affect traditional agricultural crop production in the region.
