Home / Bioethanol / News Majilis Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the draft of law on state regulation of production and turnover of biofuelsMajilis Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the draft of law on state regulation of production and turnover of biofuels Finally, the Committee of Majilis on Agrarian Affairs stated that the purpose of legislation is the environment, development of production and trafficking of biofuels, food security of the State in the production of biofuels. Among the amendments made to the deputies of the Parliament, there were three proposals on the conservation standards established by the Government of quotas on the use of food grains for biofuel production only when the threat of food security. The main tasks of state regulation of biofuel production and trafficking identified: reducing emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, increased production and export of goods with high added value, support research and application of advanced scientific technologies in the production and trafficking of biofuels, the introduction of rules allowing the government to determine limiting amounts of capacity for the production of biofuels and set quotas on food raw materials used for further processing into biofuels. The objectives of the bill "On Making Addenda and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state regulation of production and turnover of bio-fuels" is to regulate social relations and the definition of legal, economic and institutional conditions in the production and trafficking of biofuels, regulation of the food security of the State the production of biofuels, as well as environmental protection.
