Ukraine exports 573,400 tons of solid biofuel in 2010, increasing sales by 63%

KYIV, February 18 /UKRINFORM/. Exports of solid biofuels from Ukraine in 2010 increased by 63.5% as compared with 2009 up to 573.4 thousand tons. This data was published by consulting firm on renewable energy and clean technology, Fuel Alternative.

This represents 88% of the total product made in the past year by Ukrainian biofuel companies (640,000 tons).

In particular, Ukrainian companies exported fuel granules (pellets) and briquettes from wood, sunflower husks and grain straw.
