Ukraine has 8 objects of the agro industrial complex for biogas production on the consummation stage

Kyiv. February 12. UNIAN. As of February 1, 2009, Ukraine has eight objects of the agro industrial complex for biogas production on stream or on the consummation stage, declared Yuri Melnik, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, on February 12, according to APK-Inform.

According to him, the country also has 15 projects on preparation stage. During 2009-2010, Ukraine plans to introduce biofuel production on ten distilleries in order to decrease gas consumption level by 40%.

In March, one of the enterprises of agro industrial complex plans to launch the new mechanism of electric power production from the produced biogas, noticed Y.Melnik.

Ukraine provides active work for study and usage of biogas production experience and replacement of natural gas. The country uses the experience of Germany and Holland.
