KYIV, June 12 /UKRINFORM/. Closed joint stock company Siverskodonetsk Azot (Luhansk region, East Ukraine) is planning to build a complex for the production of bioethanol as alternative hydrocarbon raw material, company CEO Valentyn Kazakov said on Wednesday. In his words, the fuel will be used for the production of polyethylene. A feasibility report for the project was drafted, and preparatory work is underway. He also noted that it is planned to produce 240,000 tons of bioethanol from 650,000 700,000 tons of fodder wheat of the 5th and 6th class. This volume of bioethanol will make it possible to produce 120,000 tons of polyethylene. The total volume of investments is USD 200 million. Currently, Siverskodonetsk Azot consumes 5.5 million cubic meters of gas a day.
