Uzbekistan ups ethanol crude alcohol production

Uzbekistan increased ethanol crude alcohol production by 9.4 percent to 5.124 million in 2009 compared to 2008, the Uzbek statistics agency reported.

Food alcohol production increased by 9 percent to 4.936 million dal, industrial alcohol by 4.2 percent to 27,200 and rectified alcohol by 2.5 percent to 992,200 dal.

Vodka and liquor production grew by 11.8 percent to 9,435 million dal, brandy by 35.8 percent to 35,500 dal and beer by 11.9 percent to 18.112 million dal. Wine production fell by 3.1 percent to 2.107 million dal.

Ethyl crude alcohol production increased by 14.6 percent to 4.69 million dal in Uzbekistan in 2008.
