Vnesheconomobank to fund construction of bioethanol plant in Tambov region

Russia's state-run Vnesheconombank (VEB) bank is to pay for a new bioethanol plant in the Tambov region. A deal was concluded between the head of the Tambov regional administration and VEB's chairman. The bank is allocating Roubles 30 bn for a number of projects, including the bioethanol facilty. According to initial data, the plant will have capacity of 250,000 tonnes/y and will come onstream by 2011.
